Memphis Burial Vault Co. was started by Roy Sedgwick in 1939 with his partners Drew, Kelly and Ida Ragsdale. In 1948, Roy sold the company to Edwin R. Carre, but bought it shortly thereafter in 1949. After changing hands a lot, Bickes, Inc. purchased the company in 1998 and is a licensed Wilbert distributor. This location opened in 2011.
